There is construction all down this block, completely blocking the bike lane. Cyclists are forced to unexpectedly merge into a fast and busy street. A temporary bike lane needs to be installed. There are two lanes of traffic, so there is room for it. Cyclists are an important part of this road and their needs need to be considered during construction.

This separated bike lane is a key part of the bike link between Oakland and North Berkeley, connecting the protected lane on shattuck to the milvia bikeway. It's unacceptable that no provision has been made to protect cyclists.
